‘Wake-up call’: Lucknow stands in solidarity with victims
Lucknow: In a display of solidarity, teachers and staff at Shri Jai Narayan Mishra College wore black ribbons while working on Thursday to protest against the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir. A condolence meeting was also held, offering prayers for the victims. A two-minute silence was observed to honour the departed souls."The barbaric attack in Pahalgam was not just a strike on innocent lives, but on the very soul of humanity. Such acts are painful and shameful, and must be condemned in the strongest possible terms," said JNMPG principal Vinod Chandra. National Students' Union of India (NSUI) also organised a candle march around Tagore Lawn in Lucknow University, demanding justice for the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack. Students held placards and lit candles in a silent tribute to the victim."This march is not just an act of remembrance, it is a call for accountability. We demand justice and decisive action. We do not want tax free movies on Kashmir, we need terror-free Kashmir where innocent lives are not targeted," said NSUI national coordinator Prince Prakash.Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Lucknow, staged a protest from Vidhan Sabha to AKTU crossing, condemning the brutal killing of tourists in Pahalgam. The demonstration included a symbolic effigy burning of Pakistan-backed terrorists and a candle march from AKTU Chauraha to Bithauli Crossing."The Pahalgam massacre is a wake-up call. It's time the Indian govt gives a befitting reply to Pakistan,"said ABVP Lucknow head Shashwat Sanskrit
