LUCKNOW: Deputy chief minister Dinesh Sharma, several ministers, mayor, senior administrative and police officials and religious leaders cast their votes in Lucknow on Wednesday and then posted their photos, displaying their inked fingers, on social media to encourage voting.

, Imam Aishbagh Eidgah Maulana Khalid Rasheed Farangi Mahali, son of Shia cleric Maulana Kalbe Sadiq, Kalbe Sibtain Noori also pressed the EVM button of their choice and appealed people to vote. Candidates from BJP, BSP, SP, AAP also came out with their supporters and families to vote.
