's 300 activists was held in Karsewakpuram. They were also given training to fight with the trishul. The event was held under closed doors and mediapersons were not allowed.

"We have given trishul for defence of Hindu religion and to protect our community. In deeksha, we administer oath for getting a grand Ram temple constructed in Ayodhya," said VHP's Vibhag

The trishul deeksha and training increased the apprehensions of insecurity among the minority community.

Reacting on the trishul deeksha and training of Bajrang Dal activists, Haji Mahboob, a litigant of ramjanmabhoomi-Babri Masjid case, said, "Local Muslims are in fear due to one lakh gathering of VHP activists. The trishul deeksha and training have increased the feeling of insecurity among Muslims."
