LUCKNOW: To acknowledge the contribution of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), the Indo American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) organised a programme, ‘Ek Sham ITBP Ke Naam’, Deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak and his wife Namrata Pathak, and BJP leader Aparna Yadav addressed ITBP personnel on the occasion.
The deputy CM honoured the officers by putting the flag on the shoulder of ITBP officers, including IG Sanjay Gunjayal, DIGs Manoj Kumar Singh, Bhanwar Singh, K Sanjay, Pawan Malik, and PK Jaiswal (Brig), besides jawan Vikramjit.

Noted film lyricist Santosh Anand came all the way from Delhi despite illness to attend the programme. On the request of IACC’s Lucknow head Mukesh Singh, Santosh Anand sang his popular songs ‘Zindagi ki na toote ladi’, ‘Purva suhani aai re’, and ‘Meri jaan tiranga hai, meri aan tiranga hai’. The deputy CM honoured the lyricist on the occasion.
Poets Balram Srivastava, Rajeev Raj and Sarla Sharma also presented patriotic songs during the programme compered by Sarvesh Asthana. Vikramjit of ITBP’s jazz band and his colleagues enthralled the audience with their captivating performance.
