A majority of them shared that they have voted for a government which can secure their future by generating jobs by bringing in more industries and multinational companies into the state.

"I had made sure to get my voter ID made as soon as I turned 18 so that I could vote. We don't want to be called the TikTok generation but a generation which demands its rights and wants a change in society," said first-time voter Deepa Gupta, casting her vote at Kendriya Vidyalaya in Gomtinagar.

Pratulya Anjs, another first-time voter, said, "Almost all youth have the same demand: of getting a job after pursuing higher education. I want a government that creates job opportunities in our native places so that we don't have to move out."

Similar were the views of Harsh Srivastava, who voted at Bijli Pasi College in Aashiana.

"Even if we complete education from a top institute here, for a job, we have to leave our home town. I want a government that ensures job opportunities to every youth in their city or nearby cities. I don't believe in 'tweeting' for our demands but getting our fingers inked," he said.

Samiya Bano, who voted at Martinpurwa polling station, said, "I want government schools in the state to have infrastructure like private schools so that even poor students can get a good education."

Priya Chaudhary and Diwakar Agarwal, who voted at Central Academy in Indiranagar, shared that since it was their first vote, they had analysed all candidates based on which party has brought student-centric schemes.
