Lucknow: Utkarsh is the Uttar Pradesh topper in JEE (Main) examination, results of which were announced by the National Testing Agency on Monday. Utkarsh scored 99.99 percentile.
Lucknow boy Ojas Singhal also scored an impressive NTA score of 99.97 percentile. In subject wise performance, Ojas scored 98.99 in physics, 99.99 in chemistry and 99.98 in mathematics. "I did not follow any shortcuts. I used to study for 7–8 hours daily. I made a simple timetable and followed it sincerely every day. I focused on clearing my basics and practised questions regularly. There were days when I felt tired, but I reminded myself of my goal and stayed consistent. That consistency helped me," said Ojas.

His parents are doctors. Ojas' mother Tanima said, "We never put pressure on him for marks or ranks. Our only focus was that he should give his best and stay mentally healthy. JEE Advanced is still ahead, so we want him to remain calm and confident. For us, his hard work matters more than any score."
Meanwhile, 18 students of City Montessori School, Lucknow, scored above 99 percentile in JEE Main. Among them, Tejas Raj of Kanpur Road Campus secured 99.70 percentile.
Tejas said that he aspires to pursue electrical engineering from IIT-Kanpur.
