LUCKNOW: UP State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) has reduced the fare of Rajdhani Express buses by 10 percent with immediate effect on Tuesday.
This has brought the fare of the Rajdhani Express buses at par with the general buses of the corporation.
The move is meant to make it convenient for passengers boarding roadways buses during Diwali and Dussehra.
Many passengers board buses to Purvanchal during the festive season and will be benefited out of the move.
After the fare reduction, passengers will pay Rs 13 less on every 100 km of travel onboard Rajdhani express bus service.
The fare between Lucknow and Delhi will now be Rs 739 instead of Rs 832.
The fare from Lucknow to Ballia will be Rs 623 instead of Rs 685 and that to Gorakhpur is now Rs 460 instead of Rs 506.
Rajdhani buses were launched by chief minister Yogi Adityanath in March. The buses connect state capital Lucknow with the district headquarters.
Rajdhani buses are general buses with distinctive features, like scheduled operation and limited stoppages. The buses reach Lucknow from the district headquarters at 9.30 am or before and depart from Lucknow to different destinations at 5 pm.
