Lucknow: In a virtual summit organised by the Union ministry of youth affairs and sports, youth representatives from nine countries participated and openly praised UP’s ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ plantation campaign. Youths from Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran and Indonesia shared their views on the challenges of environment and climate change and said that an idea like ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ emotionally connects people with nature.
The participants from different countries also talked about implementing similar campaigns in their own countries.

Baghpat, Asmita Lal said that Aman Kumar from Baghpat, who represented UP in the virtual summit, talked about the large-scale plantation campaign of the state, which the youth from other countries found inspiring. Chief minister

Under the leadership of chief minister Yogi Adityanath, the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign in UP has not remained just a normal programme, but has been linked with culture, emotions and collective responsibility. That is why this initiative is now becoming a topic of global discussion, said the DM.
