JALAUN: A woman was found dead in a pool of blood at her home in Uttar Pradesh’s Jalaun. Following the incident, a man and his sister-in-law were detained, police said on Tuesday.
Police received information on Monday night about the death of a woman in Kudra Kudari village under Jalaun Kotwali police station limits.
The woman was identified as Babli Kushwaha, wife of Sushil Kushwaha (45).
A police team rushed to the spot and found Sushil in an intoxicated state. His sister-in-law Chandrakali, wife of late Rajaram Kushwaha, was also present at the scene.
The field unit has collected evidence, and the body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
Sushil and Chandrakali have been taken into custody for questioning.
The exact cause of death will be known after the post-mortem report.
