UP woman banker collapses, dies during lunch break in her Lucknow office

LUCKNOW: A 45-year-old woman officer with a private bank died under mysterious circumstances in her office building in Vibhuti Khand of Gomtinagar on Tuesday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Sadaf Fatima, a resident of Wazirganj. The police have sent the body for post-mortem.

Police said Sadaf came to her office on third floor of the building. Around 1pm, she went to cafeteria on the second floor for lunch with her colleagues. After a while, she suddenly fainted and fell on the ground. The colleagues took her to RMLIMS, located near the office, where doctors declared her dead, police said."Some colleagues said Sadaf had taken out a tablet from her purse and popped it in the cafeteria," the police said. "After eating that tablet, she became unconscious. Colleagues tried to revive her but in vain," said SHO, Vibhuti Khand, Sunil Kumar.
