Samajwadi Party patriarch
Mulayam Singh Yadav and his wife Sadhna Gupta tested positive for the
covid-19 pandemic infection
on Wednesday. Earlier, in July, Sadhna Gupta was suspected to be suffering with the pandemic infection but was found negative in the RT-PCR test.
The information about Mulayam was shared by the party from its official twitter handle with an appeal to people to get them tested in case they had come in contact with him recently.
“He is asymptomatic but under the care of doctors,” said an official spokesperson.
The news about Sadhna Gupta was posted by her daughter-in-law Aparna Yadav on her social media handles.
Sources confirmed that Yadav was undergoing Covid-19 management at Medanta Gurgaon because of his age and comorbidity factors. His wife too, was in the same ward.
They also revealed that two helos attending to the leader at home had also tested positive in addition to one more staff at the SP patriarch's residence.
