UP shine in 11th national vovinammartial arts meet

Lucknow: Samiksha Singh of UP won gold medal in 75kg category on the first day of 11th national vovinam martial arts competition at KD Singh Babu stadium here on Friday.
Silver medal in the same category was bagged by Supriya Shreshta of West Bengal while Ankita Pandey of Jharkhand and Pratibha Singh of Haryana won the bronze.
In 40kg category, Kajal of Uttarakhan won Gold medal, while Razia Khatoon of Assam and Neha Yadav of Uttarakhand bagged silver and bronze medal respectively.In 44 kg category, Roshni of Manipur won gold, silver went to Gungun Yadav of Assam and bronze to Palak Sahu and Kavita Devi of UP won the bronze medal. In 81kg men, Sushil Kumar of UP won the Gold and Ashish Singh of UP B team won the silver medal. Pradeep of Assam and Gopal Yadav of Chhattisgarh won the bronze medal.tnn
