UP: Man killed in motorcycle-bus accident in Amethi

NEW DELHI: In Musafirkhana area of the district, a tragic incident occurred when a roadways bus collided with a motorcycle, resulting in the death of one man and leaving another injured, according to police reports on Sunday. The victim, identified as Mahesh Prajapati, aged 21, lost his life in the accident that took place at approximately 9 pm on Saturday.

Police stated that Prajapati was immediately transported to Musafirkhana Community Health Center (CHC), where medical professionals pronounced him deceased. "The body has been sent for postmortem and the bus has been impounded," said Atul Kumar Singh, the Police Circle Officer (CO) of Musafirkhana.

The second individual, whose identity remains unknown, sustained injuries and was initially taken to the CHC for treatment. However, due to the severity of his condition, he was subsequently transferred to Sultanpur district hospital for further medical care, as per police reports.

Authorities have confirmed that an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident is currently underway, added the Circle Officer.
