UP Election Result: Celebration atop bulldozers as 'Bulldozer Baba' returns to power

NEW DELHI: With the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) all set to return to power in Uttar Pradesh, the party's supporters were seen celebrating atop bulldozers in the state.


Often addressed as 'Bulldozer Baba' by his supporters, Yogi chief minister Yogi Adityanath had mentionined bulldozer in his election rallies as a symbol of his government's zero tolerance towards criminals, gangsters and land grabbers.

For the first time, the term 'Bulldozer Baba' was reportedly used by Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, as a jibe against Yogi.

As per the latest trends, BJP was leading on 270 seats and Samajwadi Party on 128.
