UP candidate among top 12 scoring 100 percentile in CAT; 4 scored 99.99
Lucknow: One among 12 candidates who scored a perfect 100 percentile in the Common Admission Test (CAT 2025) is from UP. Three candidates from Delhi secured 100 percentile, followed by two each from Haryana and Gujarat.Among top 12 candidates—two females and 10 males—there is one each from Jharkhand, Odisha, Karnataka, Maharashtra and UP. Discipline-wise, three candidates are from engineering, while nine come from a non-engineering background.
The next best percentile, 99.99, includes 26 candidates, of which four are from UP and Maharashtra. A maximum of five candidates who secured 99.99 are from Haryana, while three candidates are from Rajasthan. Gender-wise, four are female and 22 are male. Discipline-wise, 12 are from engineering and 22 from non-engineering background.Seven candidates among 26 who scored a 99.98 percentile belong to UP. Announcing results of CAT 2025, IIM Kozhikode director, Prof Debashis Chatterjee, said, "This year's CAT exam was among smoothest conducted in recent years. IIM Kozhikode feels privileged to have served as the coordinating institute and expresses its sincere gratitude, on behalf of all 22 IIMs, to all stakeholders for the seamless conduct of CAT 2025. I also take this opportunity to congratulate all successful aspirants and wish them the very best for the subsequent stages of the admission process."A statement issued by IIM Kozhikode said out of 2.95 lakh registered eligible candidates, 1.1 lakh were females, 1.85 lakh males and nine were transgender. Of 2.58 lakh candidates who appeared, 0.97 lakh were female, 1.61 lakh were male, and nine were transgender candidates.Category-wise, 65.7% were from general students, 5.2% were EWS, 17.8% were OBC (Non-Creamy), 8.8% were SC, and 2.4% were ST. Other than 21 IIMs, 93 non-IIM institutions will also use CAT 2025 scores this year for admission to management programmes.
