LUCKNOW: Several health facilities in the state have bagged the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certification.

Health officials informed that as many as 81 medical units across 46 districts, including 43 district level, 16 community health centers and 22 primary health centers have earned the NQAS certificate.

Awarded by the union ministry of health and family welfare (MoHFW), the NQAS certification speaks for the quality and performance of the institutions.

An official spokesperson attributed the achievement to 'sustained efforts of the Yogi Adityanath government to health care services in the state'.

"There has been rapid improvement in health services in the state in the past six years. Various necessary guidelines have been issued for other medical units of the state to obtain NQA certificates. Besides, budgetary allocations had also been made to address improvements needs," the spokesperson said.

Health officials said that the government was focused towards both infrastructural and service quality needs.
