LUCKNOW: Two youths suffered gunshot wounds when two groups clashed during Holi celebrations under Para police station area on Wednesday night, police said. Additional police force along with PAC and RAF have been deployed in the area.

Ramesh aka Babli Gautam, Ram Bux, Akash and Raja, hailing from Salempur Pataura locality, were returning homes in the night when they were intercepted by their rivals led by Chote and others.
It was alleged that the group led by a former gram pradhan opened fire on their rivals. Hearing the gunshots, residents came out of their houses and flocked near a primary school in the area. During this, a stray bullet pierced through the left side of the stomach of one Prabhat Shukla and another bullet hit one Jitendra Yadav in his left hand and later grazed past his stomach.
They were rushed to KGMU Trauma Centre where doctors treated Jitendra and discharged him. Prabhat's condition is still serious. Prabhat's brother Prashant has lodged a complaint in this regard. ADCP West, Chiranjeev Nath Sinha said Jitendra's father told police that they heard that robbers had chased some villagers and his son went out of curiosity and was hit by a bullet.
