LUCKNOW: Two persons were killed when they met with accidents in two separate police station areas in the state capital in the last 24 hours.
The first incident took place in Gudamba police station area on Monday night, when a truck hit a motorcycle-borne man resulting in his death. The 26-year-old victim was identified as Suraj Tripathi, son of Shyam Lal Tripathi, a resident of Gayatripuram on Kursi Road under Gudamba police station area.

Shyam Lal, in his FIR lodged with the police station, stated that Suraj was going on his motorcycle (UP 32-BL 5838) towards Tedipuliya from Sector J on Kursi Road. No sooner than he reached near Vinod Medical Store, a truck (UP 32-AN 0849) coming from behind hit Suraj's motorcycle. Suraj received serious injuries and was taken to Trauma Centre, where doctors declared him dead.
The police said that the truck has been seized.
In another incident, a 25-year-old man was going on the Ring Road under Talkatora police station area when a truck hit his motorcycle resulting in injuries to him. The victim, who was identified as Raju, son of Shyamlal, a resident of Rajendra Nagar under Naka Hindola police station area, was taken to Trauma Centre, where he was declared dead. The victim was employed as guard in a private school.
The truck (USF-9039) was seized by the police, however, the driver of the truck fled the spot.
