Three-time SP MLA, bro booked in DA case

Lucknow: Three-time MLA from the Samajwadi Party Rameshwar Singh Yadav and his brother Jugendra Singh Yadav, a former zila panchayat head, have been booked for amassing assets disproportionate to their known sources of income.
During investigation, the vigilance department found that Rameshwar Singh Yadav had earned Rs 95 lakh through his known sources of income during his tenures as legislator.
However, during the same period, his expenditure was about Rs 4.09 crore.
Similarly, during his term as zila panchayat head, Jugendra Singh had earned Rs 45 lakh but spent Rs 5.05 crore.
Rameshwar Yadav (69) won his first election in 1996 from Aliganj assembly constituency in Etah district. He again emerged victorious from the same constituency in 2002 state elections but had to face defeat in the 2007 assembly polls. TNN
