LUCKNOW: Low occupancy and mass cancellations has hit Indian railways' first private train, Lucknow-New Delhi Tejas Express as well.

As railways continue to cancel trains with less than 30% occupancy, IRCTC-operated private trains, Tejas Express and Indore-Varanasi Mahakal Express were also cancelled till March 31/April 1.

Trains had low occupancy on all coming days. "Mass cancellations had started already. Till Wednesday morning we had 480 tickets booked for Tejas but by 4.30 in the evening at least 300 tickets were cancelled," said chief regional manager (CRM), Indian

Tejas has a capacity of 758 passengers. IRCTC will refund full fares to passengers.
