LUCKNOW: Tej Pratap Singh, the Samajwadi Party candidate from Mainpuri and grand nephew of the party chief, is worth Rs 4.29 crore. As per the affidavit filed by him at the time of nomination on Friday, he owns movable assets worth Rs 56,85,496, which includes nearly Rs 7.3 lakh as bank savings, Rs 19.02 lakh as mutual funds and shares. He also has an SUV worth Rs 13 lakh.Tej Pratap also owns almost 20 agricultural plots whose net worth is more than Rs 3.68 crore. In addition to this, the share of Tej Pratap in the ancestral house is Rs 3.50 lakh.
The youngest member of Yadav clan to enter electoral politics, he filed his nomination in the presence of PWD minister Shivpal Yadav, Mainpuri MLA Raj Kumar Yadav and Karhal MLA Sobaran Singh Yadav. Tej Pratap has completed his MBA from Leeds University in 2009 but has no social media account, though he is accessible through email and mobile phone.
