LUCKNOW: A 14-year-old girl was abducted by three SUV-borne youths in crowded Nishatganj area on Thursday afternoon and taken to an isolated spot where she was allegedly gangraped by them. The accused later dumped her in an unconscious state near
Lucknow University.
The survivor, who suffered multiple internal injuries, is undergoing treatment in a hospital.
Sana (name changed), a student of class VIII, was returning home after her school got over around 12.30pm.
When she reached the
Indira Gandhi overbridge, an SUV stopped near her and she was dragged inside by some youths.
“There were three accused who blindfolded her, took her to a deserted spot and gangraped her,” Sana’s mother told TOI. “The accused were accompanied by two girls,” she claimed. “Sana told me they took her to a forest area, tied her to a tree and gangraped her while the two girls accompanying the accused giggled and laughed,” she said.
“After she regained conscious, she took a rickshaw and reached her house situated near wireless headquarters,” said Sana’s mother. Sana’s father is a contractor with a government office.
Station house officer, Mahanagar, Sanjay Nath Tiwari said an FIR would be lodged on the basis of Sana’s statement. He said effort were on to nab the accused.
Dr Manjul Bahar, who is treating Sana, said “She has suffered several internal injuries. The bleeding has stopped but she will take two more days to recover.”
