GORAKHPUR: A class 11 student of a school in Buxipur area was thrashed by his class teacher and two teachers on Thursday that his eardrum suffered damage. The incident came to light when the boy's father filed a complaint on Saturday following which an FIR was lodged. As per reports, class 11 student Divyansh Gupta (15) son of Satish Chandra Gupta, was beaten up by his class teacher Vivekanand Tripathi on Thursday.

Divyansh had replied that he was not aware of donation for Kerala floods when asked. The annoyed class teacher started beating him and called two other teachers Vivek Singh and Sandeep Chatterjee who also thrashed him. "My son was badly beaten by the school teachers. The doctor at district hospital said that the eardrum of my son has been affected. The school had threatened me not to reveal the incident," said Divyansh's father Satish Chandra Gupta.
Kotwali station officer Girijesh Tiwari said, "A case has been registered against three teachers and one unidentified person and probe is under way." Kotwali police lodged an FIR under various sections IPC. No arrests had been made till the filing of this report.
