Teacher arrested for raping girl

Lucknow: A private school teacher was arrested by Nigohan police, on Friday, for assaulting a girl student. The accused, Om Prakash Yadav, stayed near the school compound and so did the girl. On the intervening night of Thursday and Friday, Om Prakash spotted the 16-year-old girl sleeping alone on the terrace.

He gagged her mouth and assaulted her. When the girl tried to resist the attack, he started beating her. Neighbours raised an alarm but Om Prakash managed to escape.

Later, he was arrested and a case was registered against him. Yadav was a resident of a village located off Lucknow-Rae Bareli road.
