Sports medium of fitness, discipline, says BP MLA

Lucknow: MLA Rajeshwar Singh on Saturday inaugurated a state-level volleyball tournament organised by Sainik Volleyball Club in Sarojini Nagar and emphasised the vital role of sports in shaping disciplined and confident youth.Addressing young players and spectators, Singh said sports are not merely a form of recreation but a powerful medium for physical fitness, discipline and character building. Encouraging youth to actively participate in sports, he said such activities promote leadership, cooperation and perseverance while keeping young people away from negative influences. He also announced financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh each for the tournament and for the kin of the late volleyball player Arpit Trivedi.
