Lucknow: More than a dozen ministers and senior leaders pushed the pedal on Monday as the Samajwadi Cycle Yatra entered its last phase. The 10-day campaign will end on Tuesday with the cycle yatras culminating into rallies at all district headquarters in the state.

The campaign, that took off on May 1, saw party workers pedal to every corner of the state with Akhilesh's message of development and information about the welfare schemes of the SP government in the state.

Senior leader and minister Azam Khan led the cycle yatra in Rampur. A host of other ministers, MLAs and youth wing leaders participated in the campaign in other parts of the state.

In Lucknow, MLA Sharda Pratap Shukla flagged off the cycle yatra from his assembly constituency of Sarojninagar while MLA Gomti Yadav led the campaign in Chinhat. Earlier, top party leaders, like party's UP in-charge Shivpal Yadav, had headed similar cycle yatras in Mainpuri and adjoining districts. "The campaign was launched to propagate the achievements of SP government in the last four years," said SP spokesperson and senior minister Rajendra Chaudhary.
