SI killed, 3 constables injured as truck hits jeep

Lucknow: A sub-inspector, Shafi Ahmad (56), was killed and three constables were injured when the jeep that they were riding was hit by a truck in Sitapur on Monday. The local SHO, along with CO and SP, rushed to the spot. SP, Sitapur, Ghule Sushil Chandrabhan said constables Satyendra Yadav, Anuj Tripathi and Pawan Kumar were sitting with Shafiq Ahmed when a speeding truck hit it from behind.Police and locals admitted the injured to a private hospital where doctors declared Ahmad dead. Others are undergoing treatment at KGMU Trauma Centre in Lucknow.
