Shrikant hotline for dues recovery

Lucknow: In order to speed up recovery of electricity dues, energy minister Shrikant Sharma is directly communicating with consumers with a message that if he was committed to uninterrupted supply to them, they should cooperate by timely payment .

Avoiding crackdown on defaulters, energy minister is dispatching over 60,000 letter to village pradhansand 10 lakh of them to farmers having tube well, appealing them to join his campaign of “Sulabh Bijli, Sasti Bijli”.

“A direct correspondence and letter by any top politician or minister, first of all emotionally connects him with his audience and secondly, it gets into record,” said Gandhian Rajnath Sharma.

Energy minister Sharma told TOI he wanted to have a direct connect with consumers and appeal to them to make timely payments that would help us give not only adequate power, but also quality supply.
