LUCKNOW: Film star-turned politician Shatrughan Sinha is likely to preside over the first meeting of the reconstituted Film Development Council (FDC) on Wednesday, according to information secretary Alok Ranjan. Sinha is the chairman of the council.

after consenting to take up the assignment, the matinee idol had suggested names for inclusion in the fdc. along with sinha, president, film federation of india, smita thackrey, pehlaj nihlini, muzaffar ali, kd shorie, kp singh, surinder kapoor, satish khanna, shiv kumar, raja bundela and jn srivastava are expected to take part in the meeting. the meeting will also be attended by the representatives of the federation of film societies of india, national film development corporation, indian motion pictures producers' association, uttar pradesh film exhibitors' federation and film festival directorate.
