Security stepped up at Lucknow Zoo

LUCKNOW: Security was tightened at the Lucknow Zoo following a terror threat. Zoo authorities were handed over a letter by the police, which threatened to blow up the Lucknow zoo, besides other places, on Wednesday. The letter had swung the police in action. The security at the place was reviewed. Tight security was maintained at the main gate of zoo premises on Thursday."We have put a metal detector," said Renu Singh, zoo director. However, this did not deter people from visiting the place. Due to ongoing summer vacation, footfall did not reduce at the place. Visitors included children and adults.
