“I want to open an appliances showroom. In order to learn theoretical rules, practical implications and techniques, I need not wait to get enrolled in BTech. The best about the new education policy is that vocational courses will be offered from in school itself,” said Saloni Agarwal, a class XII high scorer of St Joseph College, Jankipuram.

Class VII student Parul Agarwal of DPS said, “The government should also design a new curriculum taking best practices in vocational studies from across the globe so that with every class a student’s graph in a particular skill goes up. I wish this clause was there when I was in class VI.”

“The only thing is the vocation class should not turn into a ‘waste class’ where students idle away their time,” said class IX student Adya Pathak of Spring Dale College.

Achintya Bajpai, a class X student of CMS Mahanagar, said, “A schooling system with no compulsion to study a particular stream will offer more flexibility.”

“Schools will not have any rigid formation of streams of arts, commerce, science, and students can take up whichever courses they want. It would be great for a student like me who loves botany and chemistry but can’t handle physics or mathematics,” said class X student Abhigyan of Lucknow Public school .

Another student of class VII of RLB Vaibhav said,” Finally report cards will not be just marks but comprehensive report on skills and capabilities, instead of just marks and statements.”
