PRATAPGARH: Rajaram Mishra, a school teacher, has appealed to the DGP for initiating departmental action against former station officer of the Mandhata police station who, according to him, detained him illegally at the police station for seven days and implicated him in a fake murder case.

PRATAPGARH: Rajaram Mishra, a school teacher, has appealed to the DGP for initiating departmental action against former station officer of the Mandhata police station LP Bhaskar and circle officer Radheshyam Vishwakarma, who, according to him, detained him illegally at the police station for seven days and implicated him in a fake murder case. The teacher had to undergo 18-month imprisonment in connection with the same murder case.

Bhaskar has been chargesheeted in this case under Sections 342, 504, 506 and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code. The investigation was conducted by former CO Aditya Shukla following an FIR lodged on the DGP's directives. Later, the then SP had directed ASP to conduct a probe into the matter following a request made by the teacher's wife Sita Devi. The ASP too gave a clean chit to the teacher.
