LUCKNOW: The Sangh Parivar will hold a high-level ‘Chintan Baithak’ at Shivgarh Resorts on Wednesday to chalk out a strategy for intensifying the temple construction movement in the run-up to the Lok Sabha polls.
On the eve of the chintan baithak, senior RSS and BJP leaders held a closed-door meeting at the Bharati Bhawan here on Tuesday to set the agenda.

RSS joint general secretary Madan Das Devi, who is also in charge of political affairs, held discussions with senior BJP leaders, including party state incharge Kalraj Mishra, state chief Vinay Katiyar, Lalji Tandon, Om Prakash Singh and Nagendra Nath.
Significantly, about seven prant pracharks of the RSS were also present at the preparatory meet. They include Shiv Prakash (Uttaranchal), Dinesh Updhyaya (Meerut), Rakesh Jain (Braj), Newal Kishore (Kanpur), Shiv Narain (Kashi), Ashok Berri (East) and Swant Ranjan (Awadh).
During today’s meeting between the RSS and the BJP, emphasis was laid on bridging the growing difference between different outfits of the Sangh Parivar and launching a concerted effort to rake up the temple construction movement.
"The meeting is aimed at launching preparation for the Lok Sabha polls. Since the temple issue is likely to figure dominantly in the days to come, naturally our focus is on how to put up a joint front for uniting Hindus against so-called pseudo-secular forces," pointed out an RSS functionary.
During Wednesday’s chintan baithak, senior RSS, BJP, VHP, Bajrang Dal and other Sangh Parivar outfit leaders are likely to participate in the deliberations.

Buoyed up by the turn-up during the October 17/18 programmes of the VHP in Ayodhya, the brief from the Sangh Parivar leadership is to reap a rich political harvest for the BJP by playing the Hindutva card again. The VHP leadership has been asked to tone down its criticism of the BJP, particularly against Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
The Ram Mandir Uchchadhikar Samiti is also meeting next month to decide the future course of action for revving up the temple movement. A definite programme is likely to be given by next month after the meeting to galvanise the Sangh Parivar cadre for its political wing, the BJP.
