Sambhav drive for expectant mothers, kids

Lucknow: Fortifying its effort to fight malnutrition in children and expectant mothers, the state women and child development department rolled out the Sambhav campaign with a training workshop for stakeholders here on Monday. The campaign will get in action at 1.89 lakh anganwadi centres for three months from July.
Minister Baby Rani Maurya said: “The aim is not just to identify and manage high risk pregnancies, address low birth weight babies and severely malnourished children. It also commits itself to encouraging people and communities that work to mitigate the social problem.”
Secretary Anamika Singh said: “Started as an innovation in 2021, the campaign works towards achieving inter-departmental coordination to ensure that the benefits of government schemes of all allied departments are also being extended to the beneficiary families .”
