A complaint lodged by the ex-wife against the sacked cop accusing him of getting the job on forged documents is believed to be the reason behind the murders.

ALLAHABAD: A sacked Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) cop along with his accomplices murdered five members of a family, including his ex-wife, in a remote village of Jalaun district of Allahabad zone in the wee hours of Friday.
The sacked cop had slit throats of all the victims after tying their hands.
The incident took place at Baghaura village under Kotwali police station of Jalaun district.

Though the exact reason behind the killing is yet to be ascertained, a complaint lodged by the ex-wife against the sacked cop accusing him of getting the job on forged documents is being looked at as the reason that could have forced him to take this step.
The deceased have been identified as Kishori Devi (60), Shree Kishan (62), Ramwati (40), Munni Devi (32) and ex-wife of the cop Ganga Devi (30), all residents of Badghaura village.
Talking to TOI, inspector general of police, Allahabad zone, AKD Dwivedi said the former CRPF cop along with his accomplices had raided the house of Ganga Devi and slit throats of Kishori Devi and Ganga Devi.
After killing them, the miscreants took three family members, identified as Shree Kishan, Ramwati and Munni Devi, to a nearby field where after tying their hands they slit their throats with sharp-edged weapons.
