RTO to resume checking of school vehicles
LUCKNOW: The regional transport office is likely to start its drive against school vehicles in the coming week. The enforcement wing which is currently busy with the inter-district checking will start the checking of school vehicles after August 26. Till then, schools which have not yet furnished their responses to RTO might submit the details of the vehicles plying for them.
This time around the RTO is also mulling legal action against schools that have not reacted.

"We are thinking about it," said Sanjay Nath Jha, ARTO (enforcement). Meanwhile, the meeting of the RTO and local administration with schools has been tentatively planned for the initial week of September.
The meeting might put to rest the doubts of the school regarding the questions put to them by RTO. Many schools have doubts like if they allow RTO hired vehicles to ply for them, will that make the parents of their school children pay more as the conveyance fee, etc.
There are still many schools that have to submit the details of the vehicles plying for them. On the contrary, there are many which have extended all possible assurance to the RTO to help it streamline the school transportation.
