The city is set to see boost in cultural infrastructure, with UP budget indicating project requirement of Rs 37 crore for Ambedkar Cultural Centre. The project aims to support construction and development of facilities for cultural, educational and social activities.Moreover, the budget earmarked Rs 10 crore for organising exhibitions, fairs and food expos, including national and international events that promote regional heritage, crafts and food traditions.

Chairman of State Lalit Kala Akademi, Sunil Vishwakarma, stressed need to preserve Indian art traditions and suggested govt should introduce schemes to create employment opportunities for artists. "Some of the funds will be given to us from the earmarked budget, we hope."Chairperson of Birju Maharaj Kathak Sansthan, Kum Kum Dhar Chowdhury, said increasing number of seats for students and providing proper funds for lectures, workshops and certificate courses would help more learners benefit from the institution.
