Lucknow:
Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLd) state president Ramashish Rai described former CM late Kalyan Singh as a true follower of former PM Chaudhary Charan Singh, who raised his voice to protect the rights of farmers, the poor, and the deprived.
Paying rich tributes to Kalyan on his death anniversary, Rai said that the former CM kept the law and order of the state strong and efficient. Rai garlanded the statue of Kalyan located at Lucknow Municipal Corporation.
"A notable aspect of his administrative working style was the appointment and promotion of officers, which was done entirely on the basis of merit. He established transparency and trust in the governance system," he said, noting that it was during the regime of Kalyan that the state assembly ran continuously for 90 days without any interruption, which was a record in itself.
RLD state media in charge Mayank Trivedi, state general secretary Manoj Singh Chauhan, Raghavendra Singh, state secretary Ashok Tiwari, Terai region president PK Pathak, and district president Satya Prakash Tiwari were present on the occasion.
