LUCKNOW: The Congress will take out a march here on Thursday to protest the rising fuel prices that have hit the common man badly.

Party leader and national spokesperson

Gaurav Vallabh

, who was in the state capital on Wednesday, said: “Faulty policies of the Modi government are making people in every walk of life brave new challenges caused by rising prices.” Claiming that inflation has affected the comman man’s budget,

Vallabh

alleged that “while people are suffering, the BJP and the Modi government are mocking the citizens.”

Citing data from the petroleum planning and analysis cell of the government, he said that in the last 16 days, prices of petrol and diesel have been hiked 14 times and have become costlier by Rs 10 per litre. This, he said, will eventually translate into an additional burden of Rs 27,696 crore on people.

March will be led by

Congress Legislature Party

leader Aradhana Mishra ‘Mona’ and MLA Virendra Chaudhary.
