Lucknow: Lok Bandhu hospital has its own CT scan machine now. It was inaugurated by deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak, who is also the incharge of health department, on Tuesday.
During the inauguration ceremony, he said the government was continuously making an effort to strengthen all government hospitals and provide more facilities so that poor and needy have no problem in getting proper treatment.

He also instructed the hospital to pay special attention to admitted patients and take rounds two-times to monitor their health condition. He told the hospital management in-charge to keep stock of medicines so that there is no shortage of medicines for the patient. Besides, he said that the hospital will also soon get a blood bank.
Dr Ajay Sankar Tripathi, chief medical superintendent (CMS), said “The CT scan machine will help in giving proper treatment to patients who are suffering from brain tumor, lung cancer, abdominal pain and other diseases in detection and providing treatment accordingly.”
Meanwhile, as many as 15 hospital staff staged a sit-in at the hospital gate to draw attention of deputy CM towards the attempted suicide by a nurse by taking sleep pills because of alleged mental harassment by a senior hospital official. Pathak assured that justice will be done. CMS, Ajay Tripathi said that a four members committee has been set-up to probe the matter.
