Pvt co commissions ₹100crsolar power plant in Unnao

Lucknow: Inox Air Products (Inox AP) has commissioned a 21.3 MWp open access captive solar power plant at Bangarmau in Unnao. The company’s first dedicated solar power plant is also the largest investment it made in renewable energy, a press release issued by the company said. The plant has been commissioned by solar energy power developer company, Sunsure Energy.Built with an investment of 100 crore, this solar power plant will be supplying over 3.1 crore units of green power to Inox AP’s units in UP, enabling an offset of 28,000 tonnes of CO2 every year, for the next 25 years. Taking inspiration from the United Nations Sustainable Development Group, Inox AP has assigned topmost priority to sustainable and environment-friendly operations and has been reducing its dependence on fossil fuels in order to lower its carbon footprint, the release said.
