Puneet-Adil bags rowing silver for UP

Lucknow: Puneet Kumar and Mohd Adil of Uttar Pradesh clocked 7:15.5 seconds to win the silver medal in the men's coxless pair event at the 38th National Games in Tehri on Wednesday. Manmohan and Bhim Singh of Madhya Pradesh clocked 7:11.4 to claim the gold, while Uttarakhand's pair of Jasveer Singh and Harinder Singh settled for the bronze with a time of 7:24.2 seconds. Puneet Kumar, a Lakshman Awardee, is an Asian Games 2023 bronze medalist, while his partner Mohd Adil has won a medal in a national-level competition for the first time.
