LUCKNOW: As many as 32 BSc (V semester) students of
Lucknow University and affiliated colleges staged a protest at gate number one of the university on Wednesday.
They demanded re-evaluation of their organic chemistry answer copies in which they have been awarded zero marks or marks in single digits. Students said that in other subjects they have scored good marks but in organic chemistry harsh marking was done and hence a majority of students have failed.
“Around 40 BSc (V) students from my college have been awarded zero marks in the theoretical paper.
I have scored over 90 in other two subjects but have been awarded a zero in organic chemistry. I have done well in the examination. I don't know why such harsh checking has been done,” said a BSc student
Ankita of Shri Jai Narain PG College.
Lucknow University spokesperson Durgesh Srivastava said, “Students can see their answer copies under the Right to Information Act.”
