Prof Vinod Chandra is principal, JNPG College
Lucknow: Renowned sociologist Prof Vinod Chandra took charge as the principal of Shri Jai Narain Misra PG (JNPG) College on Friday and said enhancement of academic environment of the institute will be his priority. Prof Chandra, who was serving as the vice-principal and is had earlier headed the sociology department of the college, took charge from Meeta Sah who superannuated from services.Chandra completed his PhD under a Commonwealth academic staff scholarship from the University of Warwick, Great Britain and has 33 years of experience in teaching and research. Chandra has also served as controller of examination of Dr Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar Central University, Lucknow.“I will ensure to equip the college with all modern teaching, learning and research facilities,” said Chandra.He has authored many books and research papers and attended conferences/ seminars/symposiums in 21 countries.
