LUCKNOW: Basic education teachers will now be able to work in the districts of their choice. Acting on the directions of Uttar Pradesh chief minister
Akhilesh Yadav, Basic Shiksha Parishad has issued orders for inter district transfers of basic education teachers.
The information was given by basic education minister Ram Govind Chaudhary who informed that in the first phase, 7,000 teachers will benefit from it.
Chaudhary said, Care has been taken to ensure that the balance is maintained in the no of teachers transferred outside from a district and those transferred to a particular district.
In this regard, Chaudhary has directed state education officials to prepare a category-wise transfer list of teachers seeking transfer and upload it on the departmental website for their convenience. Chaudhary said, Primary teachers will now be able to work in a district of their choice. Suitable changes will also be done in the transfer manual so that women and physically challenged teachers get posting near their place of residence.''
The action was taken after many teachers took their problems to the chief minister during the janta darshan.
