Police suspect dozen strong, tall shooters in CMO case

LUCKNOW: Investigators have zeroed-in on over a dozen miscreants whose built, look and style match as that of the two sharp shooters, who had sprayed bullets on former CMO Dr BP Singh.
On the basis of eyewitness accounts, investigators came to know that the main executor of the crime was strong built and tall. Besides, the shooter was capable of shooting the target with pistols in both the hands at the same time.
On scanning shooters, as per the crime record and information available with the Lucknow police, the investigators have concluded that there are at least around a dozen shooters, who resemble the looks as narrated by the eyewitnesses. "Shooters, who have such looks and modus operandi are only a handful and it is on the basis of the records available, teams are being dispatched to several places in the state with a special focus on eastern UP districts. Besides, a team had also been sent to Ghatampur, Mau, Varanasi, Jaunpur," police sources said.
However, success has eluded the investigators, till now.
Dr B P Singh was on a morning walk in Vishesh Khand locality, a few hundred metres away from his residence in Vikrant Khand, when one of the two unidentified miscreants started indiscriminate firing on him.
After the incident on April 2, police along with the special task force sleuths had started the probe into the sensational murder, second on the same post in a span of six months.
