LUCKNOW: The

Kolkata police

and the Uttar Pradesh Anti Terrorist Squad (UPATS) claimed to have cracked the murder and robbery case in 48 hours.


The police have arrested three men from Agra in Uttar Pradesh and have recovered gold worth Rs 2.8 crore from their possession.

The accused have been identified as Karan Verma, Sushil Kumar and Rup Kishore.

The accused were arrested while they were trying flee towards Rajasthan, police said.

Gold trader Dilip Kumar Gupta's body was found in a pool of blood inside his business establishment on Sivtala Street in Kolkata on February 27.

"Kolkata police had visited the crime spot. On the basis of CCTV footages and surveillance, the information was shared with the UP ATS," said additional director general of police, law and order, Prashant Kumar.
