Play gives a glimpse of Sardar Patel’s life

Lucknow: A play titled ‘Maniben Vallabhbhai Patel' was staged at UP Sangeet Natak Academy (UPSNA) on Saturday. The play, written by Ayush Singh, conceptualized by AK Singh and directed by Sanjay Tripathi, beautifully presented the life of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel through the memories of his daughter Maniben Vallabhbhai Patel. This monodrama revolves around Maniben who puts forth stories that show how proud she was of her father.She recalls the strong, resilient yet simple personality of the ‘Iron Man of India'. Performed with precision by Anamika Singh, the play presents the character of Maniben who, by the end of the play, vows to a life of service.The play received an overwhelming response from the audience, who applauded the powerful storytelling and Anamika Singh's compelling performance.
