LUCKNOW: The atrocities faced by Kashmiris, including Pandits due to insurgency and terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir for decades, was depicted in the play ‘Mai Chinar Bol Raha Hu’ staged at UP Sangeet Natak Akademi on Monday.

Directed by Sangeet Natak Akademi award recipient Lalit Singh Pokhariya, the play was based on poem ‘Anjaan’ by Dhan Singh Mehta.

The narrator in the play is a Chinar tree in Kashmir which has been a witness to atrocities faced by the Kashmiris ever since the partition of India to the present time.

The play was performed by actors Megha Pant, Vishal Singh, Ayush Tiwari, Yogendra Pal, Sehbaz Khan, Rajveer Gaur, Yajuvendra Kamal, Amitesh Vaibhav Chaudhary, Sikhandar Nishad, Urvashi Prajesh and Avinash Srivastava.
