LUCKNOW: The Pilibhit tiger rescued from Farrukhabad and brought to Lucknow zoo on October 15 has now been sent to Kanpur zoo. The forest department is still to decide about the future of the big cat fondly referred to as ‘Farrukhabadi’ by Lucknow zoo staff.
Would it be released in the wild or kept in the zoo is still not known. The reason why Lucknow zoo sent it to Kanpur is space crunch.
The sub-adult tiger had killed and partially eaten eight human beings in Pilibhit and Shahjahanpur since May 3 till August 26. The tiger is healthy, said
Renu Singh, zoo director.
